Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards, reaffirming the Kingdom’s continued commitment to supporting creative practitioners and strengthening cultural activity across diverse sectors.
The National Cultural Awards serve as an annual platform recognising outstanding individuals and institutions that have contributed meaningfully to the development of Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape. Nominations will open to the cultural community and the wider public, allowing individuals to nominate themselves or others, reinforcing a spirit of community participation in celebrating inspiring figures within the Saudi cultural scene.
The awards are divided into seven main categories, including Cultural Personality of the Year, Culture for Youth, Cultural Entrepreneurship, For-Profit and Non-Profit Cultural Institutions, Cultural Media, and International Cultural Excellence.
In addition, twelve sector-specific awards recognise achievement across literature, publishing, theatre and performing arts, culinary arts, architecture and design, translation, fashion, film, national heritage, music, visual arts, and traditional crafts.
Through this initiative, the Ministry seeks to honour pioneers within the cultural sector, celebrate distinguished accomplishments, nurture national talent, and enhance the visibility of Saudi cultural production both locally and internationally.
For further information on nomination criteria and timelines, applicants are encouraged to follow official announcements from the Ministry of Culture.
